Exploring opportunities within the supply chain
Procurement and supply was in sharp focus during the most recent North Birmingham Economic Recovery (NB:ER) Business Growth and Engagement Workshop.
The event, hosted by Witton Lodge Community Association at their Perry Common Community Hall headquarters, welcomed a range of small businesses and entrepreneurs with a vested interest in accessing and exploiting opportunities within current supply chains.
A number of presentations delivered by Senior Business Engagement manager for HS2, Matt Hadlington, provided an insight into how businesses can win contracts from large public projects.
Reflecting on the success of the event, NB:ER co-ordinator, Jobeda Shahed, said: “People were intrigued to discover how their business could get involved in large scale public projects and become a part of the supply chain for it.
“The workshop raised awareness of the procurement process and how to access the opportunities connected to them.”
